From restaurateur George Kailis comes Surreo – Western Australia’s first seaside steakhouse, a premium dining experience of significance perched high over the shores of Sorrento beach.

Surreo, the ancient Greek word for Sorrento meaning ‘a coming together’ is where our journey begins. Taking deep inspiration from our northern suburbs home which began life as a land division in the 1900’s adopting its name from the Italian owner’s homeland in Sorrento Italy.

A journey through the region centuries ago, led us to ancient Rome which inspired all facets of Surreo.

Sun-warmed and quietly luxurious, Surreo is grounded in timeless Mediterranean influence — a space where relaxed romance meets ancient gravitas. Designed by Rezen Studio, it’s a place where architecture, materiality and myth converge into something that feels both timeless and alive. 

Handcrafted selenite crystal chandeliers adorn the main dining room. A four-metre marble sea god anchors West Coast Drive’s largest alfresco dining area, set in our wishing well designed for special moments. The Indian Ocean is merely a backdrop to a transportive dining experience.
